Hello Shane,

I hope you are doing well. A great story about you came out in our local newspaper today, as well as three other cities close to us. It has your picture on the front page, a very handsome young fisherman. I will be going to the post office after I blog you and will send copies back to your Mommy for you and your family. We are getting your story out to everyone we know and my phone keeps ringing with people wanting to know more about you, which is great because we can't stop talking about you. Hope you have a great day or night whenever you get this.

Hey buddy its daddy, I had a small buck come out to our tree stand, he came over to see if you were there but I told him to come back saturday when you could see him. I was just imagining you looking at him in the binoculars and grunting to him and trying to keep you quiet. The deer are coming out into the garden that we planted. Darren, Kirk, Kenny, brian and melissa said hello and they love you. I will give Morgan the internet address here so she can write to you. She cant wait to see you this weekend. We are going to go to her school saturday to watch her sing. Well I love you buddy, call me!!! best buddies forever. Love Dad.

Janis,Kilie,Madi-welcome to the website!!Thanks for taking the time to write. Have a great weekend!!!

Sergeant Fred said...

Sergeant Pete and I will get pictures uploaded this weekend, but don't hold it against us if we do look like Shreck and Donkey!!! Hope Shane has a great time this weekend, hopefully it goes without saying, he's always in our thoughts and prayers.

Dad said...

Shane and I read the messages this morning, (hope that was ok). We took a bath early because he always wakes up and tells us "SUNS UP DADDY" Tracy, Daddy and Shaner are getting dressed in camo because we are always hunting. I asked him on the trip home last night how school was going but he was so tired he said "LETS NOT TALK ABOUT IT RIGHT NOW" He is very aware of his body and was talking about his bones in his lower back, I asked him who told him and he said, nobody, he can feel them. We will get some pictures up here too to show you our hunt. I am not very good on the computer so I may need help and could try to put the video of the hunt on here if I get some help. So Kim, email me directions if you know how. Shaner said if we see a big buck I could shoot it but we rarely see a deer as he likes to yell to them but he looks through his binoculars and blows on the grunt call we bought him. I asked shane if he would like to go hunting with sgt. Pete and Fred, he said yeh! and asked Tracy if she would go, he has always thought of other people. Well were off to hunt. Shaner out.

Sergeant Fred said...

Good evening Shane,

I hope you had a great day hunting today, any day hunting is a great day though. Right now I am telling my son Erick, he's 5, about you and he was asking about your tattoo on your arm so I told him that you drank to much soda one night and got crazy (then I told him the truth). You should be hearing from my daughter Ashleigh soon, she's 18 and is away at college, but wants to be involved in our misson. Well I will blog tomorrow and hopefully you have another great day.

Hi Shane,
Thanks for coming over to stay with Morgan and I this weekend! You were a very good boy at her recital last night. Daddy and I like it a lot when the 4 of us can do things together. Maybe you can start making your Christmas list for Santa. When we see you again, maybe we all can set up the Christmas tree and put up decorations! That will be fun! Well, take care and we love you!

Dad said...

Shane wanted you all to know that our hunt was pretty rainy and today very windy and snowy.
We went out on my daddy's land with the truck and binoculars but the deer didnt come out. Maybe because it was cold and with the truck running and the lights on, the deer were scared. So my daddy and I drove around (with Tracy too) and just looked for deer with our binoculars. I did use the grunt call but it sounds like a duck when I blow on it really hard. My dad read me the blog today and I love my site on here. Wayner and suzy came over and played with me yesterday and they brought me some cool clothes and treats. I ate the cookies Sue brought in bed and left frosting and crumbs all over but it was my dads fault because he let me do it. I got to watch Morgan sing and was very happy to see her. I think she is pretty awesome. I am so glad we see each other now on the weekends I am with my daddy. I can't wait to read more of your letters, I really love them. Shaner out.

Sergeant Fred said...

Hey Shane,

Rainy, windy, snowny? Thats no way to chase bucks, that why you guys have to come out here to California, our deer season is the end of summer to the start of fall, when its warm, breezy and sunny. Hope you had fun anyways. I got Sergeant Pete to get his HUGH HEAD out of bed early this morning, drive to the police station and take a picture of me for the blog and upload it (I am not computer savvy like Sergeant Pete, I'm just the good looking one!!). Sergeant Pete didn't take a picture this morning because he didn't feel "Pretty", but I'll get one tomorrow. I'll blog again later.

Hey Shane -
Just wanted to check out your site!! Wow, what a turn out!!! It is great that you have such wonderful family and friends from all over the USA!
It sounds like you had a great time with your dad this weekend- hunting sounds like a lot of work!
So the new movie Bolt is out at the movies this weekend, my dad is going away with my Grandpa and uncle to see a football game at Notre Dame and my mom is planning on taking me to see the movie either Saturday or Sunday (I have ice skating on Friday). I was wondering if you and your mom would like to join us and maybe we can go for ice cream afterwards????
Can't wait to play again,
Abbie

Good Evening Shane,

Hope your home and getting some rest. I had a busy day today watching Mollie (Malibu), Officer Solis and Police Explorer Alex start a police scrapbook for you to show the "lighter" side of us at Gonzales PD. I have to admit it looked like super fun, tell your Mom I cringed again when I wrote that, but seriously, it's gonna be cool and we know your going to like it. Well I hope you have a good night sleep and I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Hi Shane,

This is Mollie. Explorer Alex was asking for additional pictures of you to add to the scrap book so that all members of the department could be included and that means you. Hope you are having the best day. I'm just beginning my work day with Sgt. Fred and Officer Cisneros. Sgt. Fred talks about you and FOP every chance he gets. You are no longer Shane Terry. When we talk about you it's just Shane. As if you lived around the corner from us. How exciting.

Mollie

Sergeant Fred said...

Hey Buddy,

How are you doing, great I hope. I see Mollie beat me to the Blog this morning, I thought I was the first one in California to get to the blog everyday. You are becoming a well known little man in the west, yesterday you received a donation from Blackfoot, Idaho to help with things. Mollie is right, you are now Shane around these parts, we have so many people around town asking about you and its great!!! I went to a place called the House of Knowledge this morning, its a place where all the local farmers have coffee in the morning and the first thing I heard when I walked in was "How's Shane". I want you to know there are so many people out here care about you and your family. Now on a lighter side Officer Winston is a goofy looking fellow isn't he? Yes I know he will get back at me some way, but it's all good fun. You have any snow there right now, we're dealing with 80 degree weather, kinda a weird for this time of year. have a great day and I will talk to you later.

Shane wanted to welcome everyone new to the website. He loves reading all the comments. He is looking forward to going to the movies this weekend with Abbie. He is also going to camp with Pete Saturday night and is looking forward to getting his camo on and hanging out with the guys. I am going with the girls to scrapbook pictures of the benefit(Officer Fred, you are welcome to attend LOL!!) Shane wanted me to tell you guys that he got a Medic Alert bracelet today with jungle animals on it. In case he is ever hurt and his parents are not with him the ambulance staff can call and find out all about him before they do anything that would physically harm him with the FOP. He cannot wait to see everyone over the holidays. Shane also is looking at the pictures and saying I have never met him or her. I think that he is a little confused by all this but I will continue to tell him all about everything in hopes that he will eventually get it. He loves seeing his picture in the Gonzalas Tribune. He took it to school today to show his teachers and his classmates. We do not have snow here but it is cold 38 degrees today.Maybe colder. We want it to warm up again so that we can go to the beach and hang out on the boat!!!!! We are not looking forward to the COLD weather.

Officer Winston said...

Good evening Shane,

I just wanted to say hello. I hope that you are doing well today. Sergeant Fred is a funny guy huh? I am the jokester out of them all, but I think Sergeant Fred is just jealous that I am better looking than he is. =P' Well I got to go to work now. Have a Good Night Buddy!

Sergeant Pete said...

Hi Shane (& Mom),

I just got caught up reading all of the new member's comments and this is totally cool. I finally got a picture of myself up. (So do I look like Sherk? LOL!)

Sergeant Fred and I were talking about one day making a trip over to see you and the family. If it's during hunting season I would love for you to show me how to hunt. I've never been hunting before. If not, we can always go golfing with you.

Pete

Sergeant Fred said...

Hi Shane,

Remember now, picture Sergeant Pete green and you have schreck. Tell Sergeant Pete that we HUNT before we golf!! Hope your doing well and having a good week in school and I am really glad you like your picture on the Gonzales Tribune, we picked our favorite picture of you to put on the paper.
Tell your Mom that whenever I come out there I'm bringing scrapbook stuff and I'm gonna show her I can do it (Hopefully Tracy or Aunt Sally will help me). Well as I write this hopefully your sound asleep and getting rest, so I wish you a good night.

Good Morning!

Hi Shane, when your mom reads this to you it will most likely be good nite! It's the beginning of a work day for me and a school day for you.

Do you look forward to going to school everyday?

I love my job and look forward to it everyday. I'm the only girl police officer here in Gonzales. I have a family at home and a family at work.

I have made arrangements to speak at the next parent club meeting in December. The School has 700 children. I live 45 minutes from Gonzales. That means another city will be introduced to FOP and Shane.

I hope to go with Sgt. Fred and Sgt. Pete to meet and visit with you and your family. I'm going to start saving my pennies.

We enlisted another person to help with the scrapbook. She was here nine hours. Hee Hee.

Have a great day,
Mollie

I can't wait until you can come to my birthday. well Shane John does not have much of an attention span as he just ran out of the room!! I hear you are going to be a star again tonight on a TV station in Cal. - I better get your autograph!! well shane have a good night we love you cousin Tracy & John

Shane Terry said...

HI everyone,
Sergeant Pete, you do look like Shrek!!! I can't wait until I get old enough to be able to write on this myself. I get so impatient having my mom do it for me. I will show you guys how to hunt and golf. Ya, Julia, I am a prince and a good boy because I want Santa to come. Mollie, I love looking at my moms scrapbooks and I cannot wait until I see yours. I love pictures and books. Tell the officers wife that we appreciate her help with the scrapbook. I know that they can be time consuming. My mom will go for hours and hours just working on my scrapbook and only get a couple pages done. Well, I have to go eat my dinner and do some homework. My mom tells me that I might be able to write a letter to Santa tonight if we get all out work done. Have a good night everyone.
Love, Shaner

Sergeant Fred said...

Hi Shane,

I vote for hunting. I am also going to write my letter to Santa tonight as well, I think I have been good, Sgt. Pete will probably get another bag of coal this year again and Officer Winston will get toys as usual. Mollie gets what ever she wants.

It was great talking to your Mom today, it was a good day and a lot happened. Scrapbooking is still going on in our conference room and looking good. If you see me on the California news tell me how I looked on it when you see it, I was nervous and we're friends so be honest and tell me if the camera made my butt look big!

Hope you have a great night and I'll talk to you later.

Hi Shane,

It's another work day here in Gonzales. Sgt. Fred is not working today, but I'm sure you will hear from him shortly.

Sgt. Fred, Sgt. Pete and Osifer Winston are funny guys. They all call me Malibu. I'm not sure why, but the name stuck. Maybe they will tell you and we can learn together.

Vanny pronounced Vonny whom Sgt. Fred blogged about earlier was here at the Police Department scrapbooking from 9:30am until 6:00pm yesterday. She took supplies home to continue working. She called me at 8:30 pm to ask for more supplies (She was still scrapbooking). Hopefully Ocifer Winston brought them to her. She told me she was going to come back today. Hee Hee. How Awesome is that. All for you Little Mr. Shane Terry.

I must admit I was nervous when the news crew was filming us in the "Scrapbooking Room," because now all of the bad guys are going to know my secret. LOL. I asked Sgt. Fred if this was going to affect my status on our E.R.T Team(Emergency Response Team) AKA S.W.A.T Team. I told him that I never placed Scrapbooking information on my application. He assured me it would not.LoL

Notice that Sgt. Fred the E.R.T Commander was not filmed in the Scrapbooking room. LOL.

I am looking forward to a great day here in Gonzales. I hope you and your family have a wonderfully great day too.

This is Collin-your mom is my teacher. She is a really good teacher. Congratulations on the $425.00 from the 4th grade at Knickerbocker! I am so excited for you! I hope it helps find a cure for FOP. I put in change from my mom and dad, and some of my allowance, too. When are you going to have another benefit? I hope you come and visit us in class again soon!

Shane My man,

My cellphone was ringng off the hook today from fellow officers and deputies from neighboring agencies asking what they can do to help, I will call them back tomorrow and tell them the biggest thing they can do to help is get the word out about F.O.P.

As for Mollie, her last name used to be Martin, so there was a Malibu Barbie and we wanted to have a Malibu Martin and the nickname stuck even after she changed her last name. And yes she still gets to be on the SWAT team even though she scrapbooks and I am the Commander of our SWAT team with a clause that does not allow me to scrapbook.

Now I see you were blogging and had some pretty interesting writings, I think only Officer Winston cane read that kind of writing so we will have him translate it for us.

Well I hope you have a great night and it should be close to bedtime, so sleep well youngest member of our department.

Fred

Aunt Sally,

I have a group of people that are the most selfless folks you will ever find, they truly put everyone before them and I am lucky to be surrounded by them. There are no words I can express as to how honored we are to be a part of Shane's life, WE are the blessed one's here. So we will contnue to move forward with this mission and will be there every step of the way, Shane's one of ours now.

Officer Phil said...

Good Morning Shane,

Just wanted tell you a little secret story that I have never told any of my friends. It happend when I was little kid, I call it!

The Case of the Missing Cookies.

It was December 12,1986 I was playing in the backyard of my house with my dog named Bullet. Bullet decided to go inside and play in the kitchen, when out of know were my parents called me and Bullet and asked
if we had ate the cookies.

You know what I told my parents, I'm taking you to court to prove I'm an innocent kid.
The judge will most surely agree
that they're wrong about what I did.

Just because all my fingers were sticky
and chocolate was on my face,
doesn't mean I stole those cookies.
So there! I rest my case.

I told my parents, you need more proof?
I have an alibi.
When the cookies got stolen, I was outside playing with Bullet.
Now I ask you, why would I lie?

You have no witnesses on your side;
just circumstantial lies.
I think the real crook snuck inside
in a masterful disguise.

Maybe he was disguised as me.
I really cannot say.
All I know is I did not
steal any cookies that day.

Now judge, I ask for sympathy,
so please instruct the jury
to say that I'm not guilty
(and to say it in a hurry!)

My folks are looking quite annoyed
that I've taken things this far.
But it's not as if they caught me
with my hands in the cookie jar.

The jury's back, the verdict's in.
Guilty?! That can't be!
I gathered all the evidence
that should have set me free.

Where did I go wrong, and now
what will my sentence be?
Three years of washing dishes, no!
No way! They can't mean me!

The next time I take my parents to court
(though I doubt it will be in my youth)
I'll make sure that what I'm saying
is actually the truth. You have a good day buddy never lie.

HI Everyone,
Shane is playing with Collin tonight so I am responding to everyone. I only have a couple of minutes because I'm off to a meeting for SUNY Potsdam. Shane did do a wonderful job blogging last night. I was busy cooking dinner so I told him to go for it. He was saying hi to Julia and John and everyone else. He was having a great time doing it himself. He loved seeing the shirts and badge on TV. I wasn't telling him about those until we got them but he will still will be surprised when he receives them in the mail. I am really excited about the scrapbook!!!! Well, have a great evening everyone and I will get Shane on again this weekend to chat.

Officer Shane,

It's 8:00pm in Gonzales,Ca and I am on my day off here at the Police Deparmtent.

The scrapbooking is coming along. Vanny and Officer Phil's sisters named Ana and Margarite joined in last night and tonight. They called it, "Scrapbooking Heaven." I know you do not know anyone in the photos yet. I am hoping to provide an inside to the pictures that you will receive.(Hopefully before you receive the book)

Most Police Officers will tell you that they wanted to be a Police Officer to help people. That is the number one answer given during thier job interview with the exception of a few. Many will also tell you that they wanted to be a Police Officer since they were a kid.

Police Officers have a complex job. We could be helping to save a life during a medical call then five minutes later be forced to make a different kind of decision about someones life.

Though our job requires honor, integrity, bravery, and courage, I believe you are the most qualified Officer we have. The courage and bravery that you have by using your life to help and educate others is an awesome attribute that you do not know you have.

Every Police Officer needs support at home while they tend to the needs of others. You have the ULTIMATE support with your family.

The fortitude of your family to immediately start educating people through several resources i.e. the web is phenominal.

I am so pleased to have Officer Shane Terry as a member of the Gonzales Police Department.

You may not understand many of the blogs besides Osifer Winstons and Officer Phil's, but as time goes by and you can use this as a type of diary or journal and read it back someday.

I have always said,If I could make a difference or impact just one persons life, I would be satisfied in my career. What I did not know is that one boy would impact me and make a difference in my life. I did not know that it would be a boy that lived 3 thousand miles away. I did not know that I would not have met him. That I would not have spoken to him or have heard his voice. I did not know his name would be Shane Terry. I did not know it was you.

Welcome to the Gonzales Police Department.

Mollie

Hi Everyone,
I will print these blogs off and make a book(probably not a scrapbook though) for Shane to be able to read when he is older to see all the wonderful support that he has received from everyone. He will definitely appreciate the words said to him when he is older. I appreciate the kind words that everyone is saying. It really does help to know that all this wonderful support is here for our family.
Officer Phil and Pete (my husband) should get together because Pete always seems to eat the cookies too. LOL!!! I don't blame them, cookies are yummy!!!! I would eat more if I wasn't worried about gaining 100 pounds!!!!
Mollie, I have said since the beginning of this that if we can help one family get a diagnosis for their child then we have accomplished something. I want Shane to be open about his FOP and continue to educate people. I think with his personality, he will be a good educator and love being in front of people and talking. He is very outgoing!!! I took him to school at the beginning of October to meet all the 4th graders. He did his KungFu Panda moves and had them all in stitches laughing at him. He is a character!!!! The character trait for October was respect/compassion for others. So the fourth graders decided to do a spare change drive. For the entire month they brought in their spare change. Some even brought in their allowance after meeting Shane and seeing how much fun he is. They raised $425.00. A check was written out and sent to the IFOPA in honor of Shane from the Knickerbocker Fourth Graders. Some of them are on this blog writing to Shane. Again, I just wanted to thank them for showing that they care. What a great lesson for all involved. To reach out to others instead of always receiving. I cannot believe how some of the kids grasped this concept!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!
I look forward to reading this everyday and seeing how everyone is doing. Shane is even using the terminology of saying "mom, can we read my blog?"
HE was just talking to Stevo on the phone and said my mom is reading my blog. How funny is that!!!
Hi is standing here beside me saying that he wants to write about his school saying that ---- is a bad boy and Ms.---- had to put him in time out. so, when he gets on, I am interpreting it for you first, haha!!
Have a great evening everyone.

I know nothing about hockey other than they like to "connect with each other" (don't worry Kim I'll come up with non-violent terms). We have to drive about 80 miles, so hopefully its worth it. Good Morning Officer Shane,

Whhheeeewwww! Sgt.Fred is a slave driver. I was so busy at work yesterday, I did not have time to blog.

We (members of the Gonzales Police Department) are going to be having a Thanksgiving luncheon at work today. One of the great things about working for a small department is the relationships that can develop. Our shift 7am to 7pm demands a lot of attention most days. Sgt. Fred, Chief Miller, Records Supervisor Naomi, Admin Assistant Maria, CSO Officer Phil, Officer Cisneros and I try to eat lunch together everyday. Of course we have had to skip many meals waiting for us at the table or get up in the middle of a meal to tend to the communities needs.

Many days the Chief and Sgt. Fred have meetings so they do not make it for lunch. Other times Patrol Officers are so busy we do not get to eat until dinner time, somedays not at all. Admin Assistant Maria And Records Supervisor wait to eat. If we eat at 12:00 they eat. If we eat at 3:30 thats when they eat. Many times my phone will ring while I'm at a scene and they are asking me what I want to eat so they can order it. How nice is that... Maria is going to have a baby so I don't know how long she will be waiting for us so she can eat... Hee Hee

In reality most police agencies you do not find that Patrol Officers dine with the Chief or Sergeants on a regular basis. Goes to show what kind of Police Department you are a member of.

I am looking forward to today. Since all of us are working and there is no kitchen in our temporary police facilty, we had to be creative. Our Turkey meal is pre-cooked. We initially did not know how we were going to heat the meal....Challenging, yes. We order the dinners not knowing how we were going to cook them....Hee Hee.

Officer Phil who drove to another city to pick up the 2 turkey dinners offered his mom and sister Ana (scrapbooking girl). Who he had not even asked yet...Hee Hee.

Cooked Turkey or not we will prevail and laugh about it.

I know you are 4 years old, with the attention span of a 4 year old and you probably want to go to bed soon (or not), but these darn blogs go on forever... eventually after you get to know your fellow Officers the blogs will become shorter.

By the way, I know it's not Turkey Day yet...It's in 2 more days, but today is Sgt. Fred, Officer Cisneros,Osifer Winstons, and I last day of work until next sunday. We all wanted to give thanks and share Thanksgiving.

I heard on the Police Radio yesterday that Police Officers in another city were chasing a run away turkey..True Story. I wonder why he was trying to get away... Hee Hee.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family,

Mollie

Good evening, as I write this you are off to bed shortly and I hope you have good dreams. We had a busy day today and the Thanksgiving luncheon went well, we had guests from the Monterey County Probation Department who dined with us and were lucky to learn about you.

Tonight I am meeting the gang over at Sgt. Pete's house for an end of week gathering so we can reflect on everything going on and clear our brains, it takes Sgt. Pete a little longer to clear his brain because his head is so HUGE.

I hope you sleep well and as our officers say around here when we part at the end of every day, MUCH LOVE.

Officer Shane,

Sgt. Fred ate the most at our luncheon today. Hee Hee (Not really true) But it could be if he keeps snacking...

I can't talk about it right now, but Sgt. Fred was excited all day. It was like watching an overgrown ten year old all day. He was clapping and giddy. I wish I could have taped him. I think between him going to the post office today and watching him try to use his new cell phone. It was priceless.

Officer Phil cooked our turkeys today. He saved the day. Sgt. Fred said it was the first time he earned his paycheck, or something like that. Hee Hee.

Sally,

I don't know if they caught that run away turkey in another city, but I hope he doesn't show up in Gonzales while Officer Phil is working. (Officer Phil aka Animal Control Officer, aka Cook) Either way he better keep running. Then again they still have 2 days to catch him.

Hi everyone,
This has been a busy blog the last couple of days. I finally have a minute to sit down and read what everyone has been up to. I enjoy reading how everyone's day is going and all the kind words that you have for Shane.Shane is in bed. As Kiki said earlier, Shane has taken a nap 2 days in a row. That is very unusual for him. He also did not feel well at school today. We are resting all day tomorrow so that he feels good on turkey day. He is excited about making gingerbread houses with John, Julia, and Aunt Sally. She is like one of the kids. She doesn't know that we volunteered her to do this project with the kids while Tracy and I look at the Black Friday sale ads and plan our day!!!(Aunt Sally owes us big time for watching Troy and Ashley)Sally cannot deny this either because Tracy and I have each other as witnesses.Last year Tracy had me waiting in line at Best Buy 3:30am!!! Yea, 3:30am!! WE froze our butts off. I'm thinking that we will not be going that early this year but we will know more on Thursday.
I'm jealous that GPD got to eat turkey today and again on Thursday!!! Its so nice that your department is like family. I would love to work in an environment like that and I am so glad that Shane is a part of your family. Did you have pumpkin pie? I can't wait to eat pumpkin pie with cool whip!!! Hope Aunt Sally has lots.Family and friends!!!
Officer Winston, Ummmm, KiKi is single. She is very nice and pretty. Maybe you can come and visit us and hang out. Don't tell her that I told you that though.
Kilie, Shane will be in again some time this year.

Hello Shane this is Kilie's mother,I wanted to write you and tell you I have heard so much about you from Kilie. She seems to be very interested in what is going on with you,and I am very happy that she cares.Kilie also has a brother who has medical problems and she is very caring for him too.Her brother was born without the use of his legs,so he is in a wheelchair and like your problem they don't have a cure for it yet,he was born with Spina Bifida, which is were his virtabrates in his back do not close up all the way and leave a sack of fluid on the outside of his back,so when that happens it leaves the person paralyzed, and in his case it was so bad that he now has no feeling from his waist down, but like you he is a very happy kid and loves to do kids stuff.I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, cause I now you have alot to be thankful for.I was so happy to hear that a bunch of 4th graders could care so much for a little boy,and raise over $400.00 for you, that is wonderful to now there are people out there that still care.Well I just wanted to write you and tell you what a wonderful boy you seem and you are going through what most adults couldn't handle and I give you a thumbs up for that, take care and be careful.

Your new friend,
Kilie's mom(Samantha)

Officer Shane Terry,

How did the uniforms fit? Have you flashed your badge yet. I wonder if your badge will come in handy if you get caught speeding on the side walk... Although I know you would never do that. Did you take any pictures? I just watched your DVD from the benefit. Who ever did the video did a great job.

I hope you and your family had a great Turkey Day!

I hope you and Pete were feeling better.

Kim,

As for Black Friday, I was in line @ 3:30am, but it was California weather and we were inside of the store waiting for 5:00. They actually had a count down at 10 seconds. We had the item surrounded. It's a tradition to go. I wouldn't want to break tradition...

Sgt. Fred,

You are so lucky that you got to talk to Shane. Even if it was by accident.

KiKi,

Osifer Winston is a good guy. Trust me, we are all laughing when he is around. Hee Hee

Take care from California,

Mollie

Aunt Jennifer said...

Hey Shane,
Did you have fun at your Dad's this weekend? I hope you got out in the snow finally! How's your eye? I felt so bad after you threw that snow ball at Uncle Brown heehehe...then you turned just right as I was throwing the rest of the snow back outside. Yes Shane couldn't resist getting into the snow at Aunt Steppi's he got Uncle Brown and his mom inside really good! It was a Kodak moment!
Well I will catch you later...its time to get the boys moving so they can pack up and get on the road before the next snow storm! Love ya...Aunt Jennifer

Sergeant Fred said...

Hey Shane,

How are you doing? Don't worry after reading Aunt Jennifers blog all I can say is "Baton California Style". Well we just got done putting up the department Christmas tree in the lobby, well Mollie, Jose and Brian just got done, all I did was watch, but I gave them encouragement while they were doing it. Just watched the video from your benefit and it was awesome, I know how to golf and hunt, but I don't know how to fish, so mabey you can teach me. Hope you had fun at your Dad's this weekend and hope that fun continues through the day. Talk to you later.

Fred

Malibu said...

Officer Terry,

Yes. We all put up the tree. Sgt. Fred brought me a step stool. He failed to mention that he was singing Christmas songs at the top of his lungs the entire time we were putting up the tree. The department office is closed on weekends, but our office phone was ringing off of the hook during Sgt. Fred's singing.

Do you think the community members were calling to file a noise complaint? Hee Hee.It's a good thing I'm tone deaf becuase it didn't sound so bad.

Hey there Shane! I'm back from vacation and I'm glad to be back to work. It took me forever to read all the posts since I last saw them...and I saw all the cheap shots made at me (FRED...LOL!)

I saw the video that your mom took of you this past week. You ROCK Shane! I can't wait to see some pictures of you in the uniforms we sent.

BTW Kim, pumpkin pie is my favorite. For lunch today, I had a half of pumpkin pie...that's it...nothing else. Hmmmmm! As for shopping at 3am...you are nuts. My sis-n-law wanted me to go with her Friday morning and I said NO WAY! :)

If I dont stop eating I will look like Santa! When you get home we can watch Shrek the Halls because you told me it reminds me of your policeman in California.Haha

Good Day Shane,

Hope it started well for you, I have the normal Monday messes to deal with and meetings that need to be attended. I see some of our amigo's on here don't like my singing, first I've heard of it!!! One thing I will tell you Shane is SING and SING LOUD MAN, don't worry who's around just do it! Well I hope you have a great day today and I'll talk to you later.

Shane's mom said...

OH MY GOSH!!! I have not been on here for a couple of days and everyone is having to much fun!!! I am sitting here laughing at everything that you guys are saying. Shane had a great Thanksgiving. It was a fun day with opening the package from California and making Gingerbread houses. Tracy and I decided that we would not do that again until the kids are 20, when they can do it by themselves. From there we went to Aunt Stippi's for Shane to show Aunt Jenny, Uncle Brown,Aunt Stippi, cousins Shawn and Stevo his uniforms. Ya, he did throw snow at Uncle Brown and my. It was unexpected and cold. For those of you that do not know Uncle Brown, his real name is Uncle Steve. But Shane saw him in his UPS uniform one day and started calling him Uncle Brown and it has stuck.LOL!! Aunt Jenny(Uncle Brown's wife) is known as Aunt Thunder(oh,she is going to kill me)
I think that we can all guess by the nickname why Shane calls her that.LOL!!! Yup, TRacy, JUlie and myself were at Penneys 4 am. We shopped until 1:30 pm going from store to store and then stopped for lunch. I got home at 3:30pm. 12 hours of shopping!! Then Julie and I got up the next day and did it again but that wasn't as intense. TRacy and I have done this for years and we just have fun with it. We see it as our day to spend with each other and have fun. We really do not have any expectations, we get what we get. I guess that it is the same as the guys getting up to go fishing or hunting at 3-4am. I was afraid to step on the scales today because of all the pumpkin pie and goodies I ate this weekend. Not to bad though. Just will not be able to eat this week.haha!
Winston, Kiki is doing a pretty good job sticking up for you. She is someone that I would want on my side!!
Shane has his cousins John and Julia over tonight for pizza, and ice cream with sprinkles on it. They are tearing the house apart. What are the chances of getting them to settle down to watch a movie???!!!
The baton has managed to find its way into hiding for a while.
We did make a video of Shane opening his package and also dressed in his uniform. We will be sending it out hopefully this week or early next week.
Hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was hard going back to work today after having 5 days off.
24 more days until Christmas!!! Who has their shopping done besides me??? I just need someone to wrap all the presents!!!!
Have a nice evening. I'm going to get these wonderful children to settle down for the evening!! Three -4 year olds!!!CRAZY!!!

Shane's mom said...

One more thing. Officer Fred, I agree SING! SING OUT LOUD MAN!!! Shane loves to sing and dance. He walks around the house listening to his FP3 player singing and dancing all the time.Even if he doesn't know the words he hums along or makes up the words.I think singing and dancing makes you a happier person even if you do sound like ----. Do it anyway if that is what you enjoy doing!!!! Being happy is what makes the world go round!!!

kiki said...

Shane dont forget to tell your mom Shrek the Halls and The Grinch are on tonight! I taped them for you and if you are a good boy we can watch the grinch tom before naptime. And Fred I am a good person to have on your side people tell me all the time I have a very nasty look about me!The pic I have posted was photo shopped with a smile HAHA !

Aunt Jennifer said...

Shane tell your mommy I am going to kill her!!! or maybe just handcuff her and make her eat cookies and pie till it comes out her ears!! I did forget about that nickname...it must be because I have too many? I'm only Aunt Thunder at the cottage...how's that work?

Sergeant Fred said...

Hey KiKi,

Winston's picture was photo shopped too, we always make him taller in photo's, it's rough being a four foot tall cop and I would rather be "fatty" any day, because I can lose the weight, Winston has to wear platform shoes!!!

C'mon Winston let the "THUNDER" roll!!!

Fred

Sergeant Fred said...

Aunt Jennifer,

Tha last "THUNDER" comment was not a shot at you. Any lighting with that thunder?

Fred

Aunt Jennifer said...

HaaaHaaa.. its ok Fred I can take it! My family is touched so jokes are happening all the time. Its kind of weird how your whole dept seems to fit right in. I hope you all know you'll be stuck with all of us for life! Hey Shaner did you hear that!

Sergeant Fred said...

Aunt Jennifer,

I'm not sure who's stuck with who here, but the good thing is no one's going anywhere. We're as dysfunctional as you can get, but we're family and we know how to have fun and keep each other on our game (you should really see us after we drink BEER).

Fred

Aunt Jennifer said...

I bet we will have you beat!! It would be kind of like the CLUMPS drinking adventure!! Really ...I'll have Kim video our next family dinner...then you'll know just what I'm talking about. Shane you can jump in here any time ya know and save your Aunt Jennifer. Oh its too late I'm sure your off having sweet dreams.....

Sergeant Fred said...

Aunt Jennifer,

Hmmm, sounds like a little shindig to me when we get there, you East meet's West.......Oh happy boy I am...

Fred

Hey Shane,

I'm still here for you buddy, Aunt Jennifer got me all worked up with the adult liquid consumption stuff. Hope you had a great day today and great dreams tonight. Did you do your Christmas list yet? I did mine... Have a good night.

Fred

Aunt Jennifer,

Now where we're we, ah yes, BEER. Tell us if we need to send any in advance. Man I almost feel bad for doing my blogging on tax payer time, I said almost.

Fred

Aunt Jennifer said...

You don't sound any different than the WPD police osficfers. The beer thing and party will be a plan! Believe me after spending a few days with us you'll be ready to buy your first snowsuit and never leave.Besides we'll probably need to start wedding plans for a certain couple I won't mention who! Haa and yes Shane.. I'm sure they will want you to be in the wedding.

Sergeant Fred said...

WPD? Wasting taxpayer time or the drinking part?

Sergeant Fred said...

I can live with both, ain't that right Sergeant Pete.

Aunt Jennifer said...

No comment....

Aunt Jennifer said...

Just kidding....I love WPD they will need to save my a-- some day I'm sure. Oh that's right...that's Officer Terry's job now. Boy does he have his work cut out for him!

Sergeant Fred said...

That's what everyone says when talking to the police. Have a great night.

Fred

Aunt Jennifer said...

Fred...you too!! Stay safe...

Sergeant Pete said...

Hi Shane,

I mean Officer Terry. Just wanted to let you know that you made your first arrest this evening in Gonzales. We busted this guy for arson (starting a fire on school grounds) this evening. The suspect asked me who was placing him under arrest and I told him, "Officer Terry" and that Shane said, "Book em Dano!" LOL!!!

Aunt Jennifer,

Whatever Fred said isn't true....we only drink Kool-Aid...LOL!!! And if you need any extra handcuffs, just let me know. I will bring a special kind of handcuffs for you when we come out there to visit. (I just hope that Fred and I don't get stopped by NY airport police...LOL!I would hate to explain how Fred is my California boyfriend!!!)

Peter

Officer Winston said...

Good evening Osifer Shane,

Its approximately 2023 hours (8:23 p.m.) here in Gonzales, California. I imagine that you are in bed dreaming of arresting all the bad guys or batoning Cali style on evil doer's.. Rock on! I wish I was a super cop like you..

It's probably late night in the neck of your woods. Sleep well and sweet dreaming buddy!

Fred,

I know I am short, but platform shoes?? come on now you make it seem like im just missing a dance floor with glittery lotion on. LoL It's all good though.. just give me a lil time for some pay back..

. . .
(0647 hours now)

Okay Shane, sorry about that Segeant Austen and I, along with your spirit were arresting the that very bad man for making illegal fires (Arson). Good Job Buddy! Sergeant Austen told the guy that Officer Terry was placing him under arrest.. It was great.. =) Well since I type slow, I just got done writing my reports not too long ago..

So that means it's good night for Winnie the Pooh and GREAT BIG GOOD MORNING TO YOU OFFICER TERRY! I hope you have a wonderful day.

Aunt Jen.. if Sgt. Pete brings the special handcuff's I will make sure while in the car, on our way to see you guys, that we get pulled over and that Fred & Pete be searched by Watertown P.D. (Oh how I can see it now...) **pay back comes in time** >=i LoL.

Well it's time for me to punch Fred.. opps I meant the clock..

I wish everyone on here a great day! (Just not the oversized bear) =X im not going to mention any names but I think i already did..

P.S. Smile big and Laugh hard.. it makes for better days.. Cheeze! =P''

Hey Winston and Peter,

Jokes on you two I'm taking a different flight on a different day, you two will have to explain the handcuffs and the little tip that the airport police are going to get that you are concealing bad things in a very very secluded place on your person, hope neither one of you is allergic to latex

Hey Shane did mommy(Mrs.Hayes) read you the comment that my mom wrote to you?If you read that comment you would know that my brother has Spina Bifida.Which means that he has know feeling in his legs, but in this case it was so bad that he has know felling from his waist down. You are the only other person I know that has problems.I still want to know what you had for Thanksgiving.I had turkey, potatos, corn, pumpkin pie, apple pie, chocolate pie, banana cream pie, jello, stuffing, fruit, vegetables, chips, dips we just had a bunch a food.

Sergeant Fred said...

Hey Shane,

How's the day going today, good I hope. Officer Phil and I had to go to our local middle school today and give a presentation on Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) to 150 fourth graders, not sure how your Mom puts up with fourth graders, but God bless her. It was fun though. So how cold is it there? 70 degrees here right now, but we will starting cooling down pretty quick here and eventually reach the 20 to 30 degree mark as winter sets in. We get snow down in town about every 20 years, but we have it in the hills every year and it actually snowed in town a couple years ago while Sgt. Pete and I were working nights together, we walked into a building that had a broken window, came out about 20 minutes later and it was snowing. Hopefully it comes this low again soon. Hope the rest of your day is great.

Much Love from Cali.

I will interprete the last comment made by Shane. He said that there are a couple of wackos talking back and forth to each other. He said that Aunt Jennie is called Aunt Thunder for a reason!!!He can't blame serg. Fred for taking a different flight to keep himself out of trouble. He also wants to know how big the buck is??? He said that he loves being a fellow officer and can't wait for them to come and drink kool-aid with him!! He said that he can out drink any of them.
Shane has left and is watching a Christmas show on TV.
I wanted everyone to know that I have a date for the FOP Golf Tournament: July 25, 2009 with a 9am tee-off time.Plenty of kool-aid to drink that day. SAVE the DATE everyone!!!I think that the GPD should challenge the WPD to a game of golf!! Just putting that out there.
Killie, Shane had turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls,. He didn't have any goodies because he was to busy opening a gift from his fellow Officers in CA. Then he was making a gingerbread house with his cousins John and Julia. I also read him the blog from your mom and you and he feels really bad about your brother. Do you help your mom take care of him? I know that you donated a lot of change when we had the spare change drive and that was very kind of you to do. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family.
Have a good evening everyone and and nice day at work tomorrow

Hi Shane, I just spent 20 min. typing and lost it - anyway you should be fast to sleep right now. I put John and Julia to bed at 7pm as they were so tired from spending time at your house last night and when little John gets tired he gets really moody and that gets him into trouble. - Well it looks like I am going to have to learn to golf - The last time I tried golfing was with your mom about 12 years ago. I made it to the second hole and then when to get a cart and a cooler of koolaid to drink while I waited for everyone to finish playing. I was never into the sports thing - that is why my hobbie is taping paper together. I see Alexis finaly got on to say hi!!! Well Shane got to go 5:30 am comes early - love ya Tracy

Osssifer S. Terry,

Good Morning lil buddy! I hope that you slept well and all your dreams were great ones. Well last night not much happened so Sgt. Pete and I did not get any evil do-ers. but there are 356 days in a year to get them. (Get them Officer Terry!)

Are your counting down the days till Santa Clause and Rodoph the Red Nose Rain Deer land on your roof to bring you gifts? I know I am.. I havent quite made my list yet, but I will soon. Well its almost time for me to go home and sleep on my Winnie the Pooh Bear pillow.. So you know what that means.. A Super Duper Good Morning to you and a Good night for me.. alrigth buddy we'll talk soon.

Mom- I like golf(not very good at it) and Kool-aid.. Shane is probably right, he probably can out drink this bear.

Aunt Jen- You rock! Just remember.. I am better looking (not as round) and a whole lot funnier than Fred. Oh yeah, I was wondering why they call you "Aunt Thunder"? =X What's this talk about wedding plans?? =P''

Fred- Your time will come... >=i hahaha ooo hahaha!

To everyone else, laugh until you cry! Have yourselfs a merry lil Wednesday!

Good morning -Shane is well on his way to school right now.He had a sub bus driver this morning and Shane just gave him a funny look and walked right on by him without a second glance.Im surprised because Shane is very vocal maybe it was just to early for him.Im sure I will hear it for three hours when he gets home.(haa haa)I hope everyone is having a good week so far .Shane has seen a few toys on tv and has been interested in alot of nerf toys if santa is listenting. And he also loves music and is a great dancer by the way.One of his fav artists is Justin Timberlake and dances everyday at my house. One of his dance moves includes kicking my walls! I believe he intends to be like kung fu panda by doing this smooth dance move. Officer Pooh Bear I believe that there are few people on this blog that are trying to make a love connection between us and also have made plans for Shane to be in our wedding.Just to let you know before our pre arranged marriage Im kinda concerned that Shane may be taller then you according to your friend freds comments?

Officer Shane,

I'm so glad you got your package. Did everything fit o.k? I can't wait to see the pictures.

As you can see, some officers get awfully brave on a computer, can't wait to see his evaluation. As for us being dysfunctional, first of all, were cops it's automatic, second, were cops.We show up when everything hits the fan and then we stick around for fun. Welcome to your new family Shane.

I thought they (we) would be able to hide the dysfunctional part a little longer but oh well.

We are a bunch of scrapbooking, loud singing, winnie the pooh, shreck looking, S.W.A.T members. Watch out bad guys. Here comes Gonzales P.D. your new family.

Shane whatever you do...DO NOT listen to Officer Winston.

There are 365 days in a year not 356...he's crazy. And since this year was leap year there was 366.

Shane this is a perfect example...STAY IN SCHOOL!

Have a great day!

KiKi,

Officer Winston is a little taller then Officer Shane, but he is a nice guy. He is very thoughtful.

He's trustworthy because Sgt. Fred let's him in his house. He needs to work on his calendar skills. Don't hold that against him. I always told him his dream girl did not live in Gonzales. Hope you like Whinnie the Pooh. I heard he now has the complete sheet set. That might be a rumor... His pillow is not a rumor....

Officer Shane,

Have a great day. I watched Shreck Christmas. I liked it. My daughter thinks the gingerbread is the funniest.

Sgt. Fred,

You rock on with your singing skills. It does not bother me one bit..Remember I'm tone deaf.

It's our friday, this side of the week which includes, Sgt. Fred, Sgt. Pete, Ocifer Winston, Officer Cisneros and Officer Sibayan are referred to as Team #1. Officer Phil is always #1 and is included as part of Team #1... Always....
We go on our days off...

Officer Terry,
you are now part of Team #1. It just means you work on this side of the week with us.

Welcome to Team #1. You also have your S.W.A.T shirt. Welcome to S.W.A.T. or E.R.T. to be politically correct. We get to do really cool stuff that we are not allowed to talk about. Stuff we do not speak of...
