Today was pretty busy for us, Mollie, Jose, Phil, Brian, Leo and I went around town taking pictures of some of the folks that helped with fundraising for you. This will be scrapbook project number 2. Hey Shane! Sorry I didn't get a chance to blog you last night. I was actually working on a case with a New York State Police Investigator on a Computer Crime. I tried to get my Chief to let me fly out to NY to get the bad guy in the City of Rome, NY...but he said no. So I had to turn my evidence over to NYSP. Since you're an officer with us now...maybe you can do some detective work for me in New York and bust that guy for me...LOL!

good morning - Shane is on his way to school right now and wanted to share that Shanes original bus driver was back today and told me that the bus aide told her that Shane did not speak on the bus at all yesterday with the sub busdriver and he ususally yells when they go under a certain underpass that shane calls the tunnel(he thinks its like a carnival ride) yesterday he didnt yell at all he must just love his usual bus driver and wasnt impressed with the sub.HAHA You go Shane! Morning Officer Pooh Bear I just wanted to let you know that Im use to sleeping alone so you will be on the couch.Hee hee Sorry thought that would be a good joke for shrek and donkey.
Well if you guys are interested we could work out a group hunt up here, The hunting has gotten alot harder since the area is popular and the doe harvest has gone crazy so no guarantees but we have fun. Shane and I havent been successful yet but we see deer together. Sometimes he yells too much at them, throws my keys at them and just goes crazy. Do you guys have only black tail deer? We just have white tail deer up here. I could send some pictures to share but apparently I can only do that on email, not on here. If you send me your email, I will send some pictures of the deer. Love reading these comments. Shane is enjoying being an officer. Rome, N.Y. is only 2 hours from us!!! You sure you can't come here!!! Tell them that you need to assist Officer Terry with the arrest because he is a newby!! How come we have not heard from Aunt Thunder? Oh ya, I got a not so friendly email from Aunt Thunder after I told everyone her nickname. I told her that it was for Shane!!!Shane enjoyed his cultural lesson, should have heard me trying to pronounce those words!!! Alexis referred to the Crop for a CURE. We are having a scrap booking day and Ladies Night ON March 7 at Ramada and all proceeds are being donated to FOP research. Scrap booking for 12 hours straight!!! That is heaven. Mollie, can you get a couple days off? There is also wine,massages,facials,food,door prizes, and chinese auction involved!! A great day of fun for the woman!!! Sorry guys, you can attend the golf fundraiser in July!!!

Hello Mr. Shane,
How is your day going today? Officer Winston and I got drug into work by Sgt Pete so we could chase bad guys today and we arrested five of them, two more then we we're looking for, so it was a lucky day for us. You need to get out here and hit the streets with us and put some handcuffs on these bad guys or Officer Winston if we can't find any bad guys. Well we're getting closer to Christmas so I am starting to be really good, I'm not taling back, I'm cleaning mny room and I'm playing nice, so I should get some nice gifts this year, but its a great year already because I made a bunch of new friends and have a new officer in the ranks. Shane Buddy, like Sgt. Fred said, I could have used you and your extra handcuffs yesterday. Fred, Winston, me, and a bunch more cops went chasing after some wanted gang members (real bad guys). We only went looking for 3 of them, but got 5 instead.

Hey Everyone,
We will need security at the Crop and the Golf Tournament but I don't want you guys to have to work that day I want you to be able to drink kool-aid and eat candy!!! Not work!!! Shane has had a busy weekend. He spent some time with Aunt Thunder Friday night helping her decorate her tree and he spent some time with Grandma T last night helping her decorate her tree. He has had a fun,filled weekend with family. Tonight or tomorrow he is going to help me decorate our tree. He finally made out his Christmas list and he wants everything!! Sending the letter to Santa in the mail tomorrow. Hope that we are not to late. We usually have it sent by now.
Sgt. Fred, Shane can come and hang out with Erick and Brittni anytime. He loves going to visit people and doesn't mind being away from home. He sees everything as a new adventure. I will just come as his escort and maybe do some shopping while Erick and Brittni are showing him around town. He probably will have to work a couple days getting to know the area and the people of Gonzales so that he can be a good Officer!!!
Make sure that everyone checks out the website, we have posted a poem and biography of Shane. There is also a picture of him at the start of the blog. He looks so handsome in his uniform!!!! I love men in uniforms anyway but my own son looks even more handsome in a uniform. He is a chick magnet at the age of 4. I think that my phones going to be ringing off the hook when he starts dating 20 years from now!!!
I received the scrapbook and it is wonderful!! Thank you everyone that worked on it!!! I am going to borrow some of the techniques used in it for my scrapbook. I will be taking it to work tomorrow to show everyone and bring it to aunt Sally's tomorrow night to show her. Tracy can't wait to see it either.

My family and I are a little slow this year with getting Christmas stuff up around my house. But finally we got it done yesterday. I'll try to get some pictures for you on my days off, which starts in 2-1/2 hours....yippeeee!!!! It's kool-aid time.
This Sunday is my son's (Michael) birthday...he'll be 14. He's a good kid (most of the time). He loves playing video games on his Xbox 360. On my days off, I play the games with my son. Matter of fact, Michael and I have the Nintendo Wii, Gamecube, Xbox, and Xbox 360. His favorite game right now is Call of Duty 4 and Rockband.
The guys at the PD tease me because I play video games still. But hey, I'm a big boy at heart. :)

I love Christmas!!!!!!!!I love Christmas!!!! Not only the actual day, but all of the days that lead up to it. I love watching the faces of others as they open thier gifts. I love the food. I really just love watching everyone else. I love wrappppping the gifts to give. My favorites are the bows because that is my specialty. I love driving down the street and looking at the beautiful lights along the streets. Sorry everyone, but I even love christmas music even Sgt. Boy, have we been busy with Holiday stuff!!! We have not had a chance to write in a couple of days. We finally got our tree up and got out Santa. Santa stands about 5 fett tall and he sings and moves. You can also hook a micrphone up to him and talk. Santa moves his lips and head as you are talking.Shane just hugged and hugged him the other night saying "I Love Santa." Every morning he is talking through the microphone while I am getting ready for school. We are going to see Santa tonight after work. I will let you know what Shane tells him that he wants for Christmas. He is also getting dressed up in his uniform for some pictures for the holidays. He can't wait for that. He starts vacation next Friday the 19 for two weeks. I'm sure that he will be building lots of snowmen with big heads during thoses 2 weeks. Have a good day everyone.

In Mollies last blog that is actually her maiden name before she got married. So how have you been today, what did you do tonight, hang out and relax. Right after Christmas My family goes to Steamboat Springs, Colorado every year for our annual skiing trip, we have a house there so its nice to get back there and relax and leave all the trouble behind for a little while, but don't worry I have access to all your sites every where I go, so I will never be out of touch from you or the rest of the gang on here. Hi Everyone,
I am thinking that people are enjoying the holidays and drinking to much kool-aid and eating to many cookies because this blog has really slowed down the last week. I know that we have been busy doing holiday things and are on our way to celebrate Christmas with my brother and mom and their families. Shane is so excited to go see Uncle Pat!!!
You Cali people think that 35 is cold!! WE have been in the teens for the last week and even the single digits a couple of days. We got pounded with snow yesterday. We even got out of school early because of the bad weather that was headed our way. They are saying that we have another storm headed our way tomorrow. Can't wait!! Shane and I are going to bake cookies so it is ok if it snows.
We received the shadow box and I am going to wait until Christmas to give it to Shane. I will take lots of pictures and get those and the uniform pictures to GPD within the next 2 weeks. I have the next 2 weeks off so I have some time to get things done. We also received the new business cards with Shane's website on them. That is great. We are handing some of them out with out Christmas presents. Shane thinks that it is cool to hand out his cards.
We have another fundraiser planned for Feb. 7. Artic Blast 2009. This is playing softball in the snow!!! I have played it for many years and it is a lot of FUN!!! We play ball,drink kool-aid, have fun, and eat. All the proceeds are going to FOP research!! Come on guys from Cali, come and see how really COLD it is here!!!

This Christmas is probably the most non-traditional Christmas I have had in years. I have a great husband and wonderful children. Lots of good friends but only a few close, close friends who are awesome...I have been busy, but not with the holidays. I have been soooo busy with the kids. My daughter was in the Nutcracker Ballet on the 20th and 21st. The whole process was months and months long and required a lot of dedication from all of the dancers and thier parents. I havent asked my daughter yet, but I hope she picks something different in the future...

Well it is Christmas Eve and Shane and I spent an hour and a half cleaning his room. We got rid of a lot of his old toys and gave them to good will. Shane got right into it saying get rid of and keep. He is learning!!!I did have an incentive. There were 3 presents under his tree from Sgt. Fred that he REALLY wanted to open, so I told him that if he helped me he could open them. So every 5 minutes"can I open the presents?" Finally, WOW, he loved the camo jacket and the IRON MAN!!!! He wore his coat around the house for about an hour and started getting hot so he asked if he could hang it in his closet in his room. We usually hang out coats in the coat closet but I guess that he wanted to keep this coat closer and in a special place. Thank you Fred from Shane and our family!!!! I also delivered the presents to Aunt Jenn, and Aunt Sally and Chelsea. Tracy will get hers very soon.
Shane is very excited about Santa coming. He is already settling done in the recliner watching a Christmas movie and it is only 7. I told him that he needed to go to bed early so that Santa could come.
I have to say that this year has been a tough one for our family since March. This is when everything really started with Shane and FOP. But since the end of October the Cali-GPD family has made things better keeping our mind off the FOP and on making Shane happy and feeling loved each and every day. I have to truly say a BIG THANK YOU to our newest additions to our family!!! You guys are amazing and we really appreciate everything that you have done for us and Shane. Just when I think that you have done something great, along comes something just as great of even better!!! Thank you for being so caring and generous.
Today is a happy/sad day for our family. It was this day in 2003 that Shane's brother Jake was brought into this world and taken at the same time. I feel that Jake made the decision to come at 20 weeks so that he could save his brother Shane and bring him into the world 3 months later. I am grateful to Jake and I know that he is looking over Shane every day making sure that he is OK. So, today is a day that we should all be greatful for family and friends that we have.

Christmas was full of fun and laughter with my family and friends. Now I have to worry about loosing the extra pounds (and then some) for the New Year.
I'm off to go visit my parents this morning. I told my parents that I was forced to work some extra shifts and that's why I couldn't visit them. But I'm going to surprise them this afternoon when I get up to Rosevill, Ca.
Then on Sunday we are going to San Francisco for a couple days to celebrate my birthday. So that should be fun....but I think the whole birthday thingy was an excuse so that my wife could go shopping at the big malls/stores up there.

Thank you for the Famous Old Time Candies they are soooo good. I am having a hard time keeping my husband away from them. I think I might have to hide them. I can’t wait to have the opportunity to sit down and read the history of Salinas. I will try to get Shane to sit with me and show him some of the pictures like the one of the Police Officers from 1938 in Chinatown.
What a beautiful family you have. Where did your son graduate from? Thank you for sharing with me. I hope your cookies are okay. Our family in Florida said some of the cookies fell apart. I think those were mine.
I almost forgot to mention the scrapbook it is fantastic. There was a lot of time and thought put into this. I shared it with the people I work with including our security guard which is a retied police officer he was impressed. Our favorite page is the one with you on the scooter that say’s I Feel Pretty. My daughter and I were walking around the mall shopping and when we would see something pretty we would start singing I Feel Pretty, Oh So Pretty!

Happy New Year's....GZPD received the box today. It was an extension of Christmas for us. WOW.. the talking photo frame was sooooo cool. Someone suggested placing the FOP license plate frames on the patrol units... That's up to supervisors, they have my vote (it's doesn't count) but they would have at least one. Hee Hee.
Officer Phil and I hovered over the chocolates. Let's just say, we didn't have much room left for lunch (Osifer Winston, lay off the fatty comments. One day you'll grow up and look just like us.)
Phil and I have a support group for chocoholics... It involves 12 chocolates or cookies, maybe it's steps. I only know the number is 12.
Thank you soooooooo much. The pens, bracelets, CD of photos, everything was so great.
I hope you know we never expected to receive anything from you all. I can't believe I need a kleenex right now. Sgt. Fred keeps us pretty up to date and I know a few of you have spoken with him, but it's still kind of wierd and cool to be part of a family when I have never spoken to any of you.

I have a COLD story to tell you. Pete and I went to a barn party for New Year's Eve. We went to our freezing cold camp and then rode our snowmobiles to a barn!! It was below zero last night,10 below but with the windchill -25 maybe colder!!! Luckily the barn was heated but not as heated as I would have liked. As the night went on, I looked around and said to myself we are at a redneck party!!Crockpots with food, kool-aid cans and bottles all over, hooting and hollering,and someone passing some god awful gas!!!We did have a DJ for entertainment. It was COLD at 2am for the snowmobile ride home. I woke up fast if you know what I mean.We did have a good time with all our friends and that's what counts.
As the new year came I thought about the year past and it brought tears to my eyes. I thought about what Shane has been through in 2008 and what the year to come may bring or not for him. I also thought about how lucky I am to have the support of all my family and friends and the GZPD!! All of you ROCK!!!
We have never gone to see the ball drop. Someday maybe we will make it there, maybe.Not sure if I want to tackle that crowd. As you read above, we went to a barn party and were thrilled with that.

Barn Party...Those R most likely the best... it's mainly garage parties here in Gonzales. I was a party pooper... I got home from work and was too lazy to leave. My husband called me a trillion times to pick me up and take me to my sister-in-laws...Nope.. I stayed home in my PJ's and fell asleep around 9PM. Except when my husband called at 12.
I invited people over to my house on New Years Day. They ate, drank Kool-Aid and played "Rock Band 2" So I still celebrated the New Years only it was a few restful hours later.
I did not make one resolution for the New Year because I'm still working on the ones from 1997. Hee Hee.

Good morning everyone! Shane im glad you are back at kikis and I missed you while I was gone! I apologize that I havent been on the blog forever. Shane is off to school right now.He has had sort of extended vacation from school because the weather here has caused some snow days.He was very excited to get on the bus today.This morning he showed up with where is waldo glasses on and insisted to bring them to school so i am anxious to see what the bus driver has to say about his day with his new shades. Hey everybody! So glad things are getting back to normal here. But I've been real lazy...I still haven't taken the Christmas stuff down at my house. My wife started doing a little bit this morning, but we still have the the tree up. My goal is to get it down this weekend.
I got a little sick on my days off and it has been spreading between my family and my in-laws. All I can say is thank God for pepto bismol....LOL!
So Shane, how was going back to school. My kids are going to hate tomorrow. It will be their first day back to school and they have been use to going to bed late and waking up late.

Hope you are having fun back at school with your friends. I sure wish we had snow days here like you do, that must be fun. I am in the office catching up on a few things before I actually return to work on the 19th. I have to go to Los Angeles tomorrow until Saturday for some training. It is a six hour drive and won't be fun because I will be alone. I have totally enjoyed my vacation because I get to spend all my time with Leslie, Ashleigh, Jenna, Brittni and Erick. I actually think I get on thier nerves because I have been home so long, but it's great. I am looking forward to going back to work so i can get back in the routine of being stuck in my office. Snow Days!!!! That would be a dream come true. I live 45 minutes from Gonzales and it does snow in the mountains near where I live. We'll go to the snow and bring a plastic lid and a boogy board(for the beach) to ride down the mountains. Yep. That's how my family does it. Hee Hee. My 6 year old daughter, Alex aka Alexis would love to stay home for Snow Days. You all are lucky to actually see the fruition of all four seasons every year.

The guys that did come over smoked cigars. Yucky, Yucky. They were outside on the patio most of the night. They drank kool-aid and ate Mexican food. A few of them played Rock Band 2. I wasn't invited to smoke a cigar. But thats O.k. Yucky, stinky, expensive habit. I'll stick to crafts and scrap booking.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Shane and the GPD were in our local paper yesterday. It was a great write-up and Shane had his uniform on and was making his own lunch.He took out his handcuffs and was trying to put them on the reporter and the photographer when they were there. They really did not want anything to do with it. I let him cuff me and lock me in prison. He also handed out his business cards to them. He is quit the comedian!!!
Shane started a new flare-up yesterday on his back. He is not affected by it as of today. He did say earlier in the week that his back hurt and now I know why. So, we will keep and eye on it to see what is going to come of the flare-up.
We are having a heat wave today. 38here in Watertown but is not going to last long. Getting to -10 and -15 this weekend. We have received 110" of snow this winter so far and we still have 3 months to go. Adams has received 169"!!Thats where Tracy lives. Her husband can't figure out where to put all the snow!!!

Hope your having fun with the snow, we have nothing but rain here and it will be that way for a week to come, we just worry about mudslides in the mountains because the ground is bare from all the wildfires we had last summer. Shane is getting some rest this week at Kikis, although he was up at 3:30 this morning!!! He did go back to sleep for a couple of hours until 5:45. So maybe he will take a nap for Kiki today!! He is going to Aunt Thunders after school today to visit for a couple of hours. He loves going to visit people.
Boy, we are getting hit hard with snow!! Another 8-12" planned for tonight and tomorrow!!! Is is ever going to stop!!! Maybe a snow day tomorrow!!We have 3 more left to use.

Gosh, another 8-12" of snow. Sounds like heaven to me. I haven't lived in snow country since I was in elementary/middle school...and that was when I lived in Europe. You guys bundle up and keep warm.

Shane did not get a chance to watch the big game. He was sooo tired. He played out all weekend with his new shovel that Pete bought him. Going to be a busy week for us with the Artic Blast this weekend. Looking forward to some fun in the snow. Shane is a star on TV. Ch7 has put a commercial on the TV for the Artic Blast featuring Shane. I am going to try and get a copy of it to send to the GPD. Not much snow predicted for the north country this week,THANK GOD!!! The snow at the field is past my waist. I feel really sorry for the first teams that have to play and break all that snow in. I know that it won't be my team because I have a connection and I have already stated that my team will not be the first team to play. Sometimes is helps to have connections!! Shane is going to be there rooting for his dad's team and his mom's team. I think that his dad's team has a better shot of winning. My team is just there for the fun and kool-aid!!! I think that the weather is going to be great. So far they are saying in the 30-40. Heat wave for here. We usually do have one guy that wears shorts year around. Ask Kiki about that guy. She could tell you more. I'm sure that he will have shorts on this weekend in the snow. Kool-aid can be warm or cold. I'm thinking warm with a kick would be a good idea!! I'm looking forward to it, should be alot of fun!!!

Big day tomorrow. Weather says 40!! A heat wave for here and will be nice playing softball in. Hopefully the rain will hold off until we are done playing. Shane is with his Dad this evening hopefully getting some rest for the big day tomorrow. I will check in Sunday if I am not to soar and if I am feeling ok from drinking kool-aid all day. We had training today. I had Sgt. Fred at gun point and on his knees then on his belly. It was a fake blue gun exactly like Officer Shane's. Let's just say there is video...Hee Hee. It was one of many of the fun days at work. Unless Chief Miller is reading this then it was all responsible training and we only giggled when necessary and it was mostly at pooh bear.

GREAT NEWS ABOUT CHELSEA..

We raised $2700.00 for the IFOPA at the Arctic Blast. The weather was great 40degrees. We also had posters hung up about FOP to build awareness. Everyone is still talking about the fun that they had and how they are getting a team in for next year!! So, hopefully next year will be even bigger and better!!! I see many people walking funny today because they are still soar from running and wrestling in the snow(including me). We drank a lot of kool-aid and had a great time. Shane was at the Blast and at Kickers Lounge to meet people. He had a great time. Aunt Sally will be posting pictures up for everyone to see all the fun that we had.
We are moving on to fun activity number 2 Crop for a Cure and Ladies Night on March 7.
Then Activity number 3 which is dinner at Applebees on May 18 and they are donating 10% of the sales that night(have to have a voucher to give to your waitress that I will have shortly) to IFOPA.
And then the 4th event July 25, Golf.
Some people are approaching me about doing a bowling tournament in the fall. So that might be a possibility!!!

How is my buddy doing? Did you have fun this last weekend doing the Arctic Blast, I hope so. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back on, but I have been buried in work, as well as my studies for the Supervisor Leadership class I go to every month. This last couple of weeks has been pretty rough on the Police and Fire Departments as we had one of our long time members pass away after being sick for a while, but we're all good so back to happy stuff. How is school going, anymore snow days, have you run out of those yet? I wish we had some rain days here because we are getting drenched. Aunt Jen sent me a picture of deer up to thier necks in snow, which was totally cool, thank goodness we're not up to our necks in water, because Officer Winston would be in real trouble, being four foot something and all. Are Aunt Sally and Aunt Jen behaving themselves or is the THUNDER rolling? Well I hope all is going good and I am pretty much caught up with all of the mess I have been dealing with, so I'm back in wack and ready to write. Hey I watched the video you Mom sent with the newspapers and it was absolutely awesome, it was almost like being there with the exception of the computer screen and 3000 miles, but it still was awesome. I will share it with the rest of the gang later, so we can make copies to take home. I hope you have a great day and I will talk to you later.
