Good morning my Wing Man! How is it going today? Well I hope. Sgt Freddy Jingles Alawishes Lombard =X , Officer Jeff, and I are tucked inside the pd today. Its raining here and the wind is blowing hard. Kinda of a crummy day today here in Gonzales, but thats okay.. It gives me time to write you.

I just finished looking at the Artic Blast pictures. I loved the "BL" Snowman! that was Way CooL!!! Officer Malibu Barbie just dropped in to the pd to say hello before she goes on a vacation cruise. I dont know what she's thinking.. The weather is Uoogly where she is heading.. She's nutz!

So I heard that instead of whacking Kiki on the bottom with your batton, you gave her the special gift that keeps on giving... (The flu Bug). Man your brutal =P I would of just whacked her, but your my Wing man so I got your back buddy.

Oh yeah, I saw all the pictures of the watertown ladies.. Man you have the market cornered! (Kiki plug your ears..) If you need some help fighting them off.. Remember, Always call for Back Up! Pooh Bear will come running to help. We'll talk later about some 10-36 (Secret) stuff.. Take care Iceman!

P.s. Cool picture of you flexing muscles while wearing your Superman man beanie.. That picture has got C.D.I. (Chick did it) written all over it. Enjoy the day off.

Mom- The pictures of the Artic Blast were way cool.. Pooh bear has never played in the snow like that.. Im jealous =i I saw that you brought some kool aid and lots of "BL" alignment juice.. I wish me and the gang were there to make things more intresting..Im glad that you guys/gals had a great time..
It looks really cold in Watertown.. All the pretty snow.. The guy whos pants fell during the game must have been really cold.. I think he just wanted to show off his PJs.. Poor guy! I hope that your enjoying your days off.. Stay Warm its 27degrees in your 100 ac woods. Take care.
Pooh Bear

Aunt "Thuuunder"-

Thanks for posting the pictures for all us to see.. Which one of the photos are you in? so I can place a face with the name..Please tell Chelsea that I send my love and warm wishes. I hope you are enjoying your vacation...Take care sweetie

Kiki-
I dont know what to say, but Im Sorry =(. I told Shane just to give you a whack, but he just decided to jump off the deep end and give you the gift that just keeps on giving.. I have some Honey to make you feel better.. Cheese.. **Chuckling** but only if I can get this honey jar unstuck from my nose.. I hope you feel better soon.

Mrs.Hayes,
Are you having a good time in Florida? So who was your
Valintine? Trust me looks don't matter.(LOL)

Well bye for now,

Officer Shane,

Sorry, I haven't logged in lately. Are you having fun at your dad's house?

Feb 21st was Sergeant Fred's Birthday. We all spent the evening with him...We weren't celebrating his birthday. We volunteered to be security at a fundraiser for Sgt. Fred's childrens' school. We were entertained by officer pooh bear. Hapy B-day to Sergeant Fred who celebrated with his family today..

I haven't blogged lately because me and my family went on a cruise to Ensanada and Catalina Island. It was our first big vacation as a family in 4 years. We have done little trips, but becuase of our schedules and our kids activities we have to be creative.

The weather was horrible in Gonzales and everyone thought we were crazy for going, but the weather was beautiful the entire time. We already started to save our pennies for the next trip..

I did miss everyone while I was gone. It was kind of sad to know that life at GZPD went on with out me.

Mom,

You deserve every moment of relaxtion. As a mom I know we take care of ourselves last and feel guilty for even thinking about doing something for ourselves. Good for you.

Aunt Thunder,

The scrapbboking/Wine event is comming up. Relaxation for at least one day is in your future.

Sure could use some cool aid right now, but as soon as the weather gets better I'm having a big ol barbeque for my team, with lots of cool aid. I hope everything is well with you and I hope your having a great time in school. Did you and your Dad do anything interesting over the weekend? I bribed mt whole team into working a volunteer event with me for Brittni and Erick"S school, its crazy what I can get these guys and gal to do for beef and beer. Anyways I hope your having a great week and say hi to your Mom and Pete for me.

Hey Shane and the Gang!

I hope you all have been free of the flu bug floating around. My son was sick most of all last week. Yesterday, I had to go pick up my wife from work because she could drive home and my daughter was home sick today. I took last night off work to help out at home, but I had to go in today. So now I'm here getting caught up with my work. Have a good week at school and I'll drop back in soon.

Hey Shane!

Whats new with my little wing man? As for myself I have been busy at work.. Lots of things for this bear to learn.. I guess you can say that your buddy is getting schooled by the old timers.. that okay Osifer Pooh bear like to learn.

how is the weather there? As for me in Salinas, California it just started raining not too long ago. I got off work at 3 pm. SGT Jingles and SGT Shrek let me get off work early.. What good Pals they are. The only problem is that I don't know what to do with myself. I usually get off duty at approximately 7 PM and now I got 4 hours of free time to trudge through the hundred acre woods.

I hope that your doing well and that your being an awesome Officer in Watertown. Well got to run =) Sleep well buddy! Cheese!

Hey there Mr. Shane,

Thanks for the Happy Birthday and I send lots of LOVE right back at ya. So how are things going back there in Watertown, still cold and snowy? I saw an episode of Mystery Diagnosis that talked about FOP (thanks for the heads up Aunt Jen) and hope a lot of other people saw it to, especially all the doctors that are out there and don't know about this. Hey, when you see Aunt Sally tell her I said HI and give her a big CALI hug for me. Aunt Jen keeps me busy with the jokes and surveys she sends me, helps me to pass the taxpayer time along when I'm working. How is school going, great I hope. We are getting ready for sports season out here and Brittni is getting ready to start her fifth year of softball, which means Dad (me) will be starting his fifth year of coaching, but I can't complain because I get all the time with her and she really is a great player and an even better catcher. Well I gotta go check on Officer Winston and make sure he's not back in the sqaud room messing around on the computer, you know like I am right now, but its all about RHIP (Rank Has Its Privledges). Have a great day.

Officer Shane,

It's your Birthday Month. How exciting. Do you have any ideas on what you want?

Be careful what you ask for. I think Sgt. Fred wished to be Chief for a week and then he magically was. Hee Hee. He was spinning on the chair in the Chiefs office. I think I heard someone who sounds alot like Sgt. Fred singing in his office... Hmm Hmm. Even though he was our Chief I think when he blew out allllll those Birthday candles he just wished for his fridge to be stocked with plenty of kool-aid.

I'm sure he's glad to be done with being Chief (At least for now) because I know he likes to catch bad guys way more then attending 6-7 meetings a day with the same people talking about different things.

Sgt.Pete is Gonzales Officer of the Year. His award dinner is coming up. He's responsible for putting several people in jail who made really bad decisions this year. He did a good job. He's very dedicated even when he's writing cigar reviews (true story).... Hee Hee.

I think you are Officer of the Year for keeping everyone safe in Watertown....Did your mom give you the baton back yet? I Know you probably did not get it back. I'm a mom and I wouldnt let my kids play with a baton either, but sometimes it's sooo good to be bad... Hee Hee

Officer Pooh bear worked very hard today. He looked tired. He stayed for dinner at the PD. I cooked Salmon and Shrimp. I don't know if the guys liked it but they were nice enough to tell me they did. Trust me, I do not like cooking..at all....That's what my husband does... Actually he just BBQ's a whole bunch.

Mom,
How was the scrapbooking, message, kool-aid event? I hope you made lots of money and pretty pages. How many glasses of kool-aid did Aunt Jen drink? Any papercuts? Photo's of Aunt Jen after drinking lots of Kool-aid? Still waiting to hear why you all call her Aunt Thunder? :)

In the GZPD scrapbook there is a picture of Maria. She is the one who likes Betty boop. She is having baby #4(ouch)next month. She is naming her Haleigh Marie. Her Baby shower is next week at the Police Department. Sgt. Fred will be away at supervisors school during the shower. I'm decorating and Chief Miller is cooking on BBQ.

Well Officer Shane, I think that covers the updates involving your police department and co-workers for this week.

Have a great day and don't forget to post some ideas for your Birthday... FKEOCPAJCAJKJC Ejsjwe97&&*& f0wiefjso soa(**(D0iasuf cefuweuwe7svc apcja

HI, Everyone,
Its been awhile. We have been extremely busy for some reason. Shane's flare up only lasted 2 days. He missed his chair at school and feel on the floor. Within 2 hours he had a flareup but it is gone and now new bone at this point but with this condition you never know when something is going to show up. He is doing great in school. Had a parent-teacher conference and all his teachers told me wonderful things. I was scared going into it but I came out feeling pretty good.
Shane will be 5 next Friday. I can't believe it. Malibu,I am not sure what to tell you he wants. He wants everything when we see it on TV. I'm thinking about getting him a bike but a special 3 wheel one that sits closer to the ground. I've been checking them out and I'm still debating. We are having a bowling party April 2 with a couple of his cousins to celebrate his birthday. I will take lots of pictures to share them with everyone.
5-6 of us are headed to PA next weekend for a Bingo for a Cure for another little boy with FOP. We want to support his family and FOP however we can. It will also be nice to meet another family that has a child with FOP. WE are looking forward to it.
I'm not sure it I put that we raised $3300.00 from the Crop and Ladies night. So within the last couple of months we have raised $6457.00 for FOP in honor of Shane.
Well have to get going. Pete and I are going probably for out last snowmobile ride of the year.
Have a great weekend.
Shane is with his dad this weekend.

Hi Shane,

I know that you must be asleep already so good morning for tomorrow. My name is Jessica Perea and I live here in Gonzales with all of the wonderful officers that you have been blogging with.

By the way, I have to say that you look very handsome in your uniform.

I want to apologize for not blogging sooner and also thank you and your family for bringing FOP to our attention. Like many others, I had not heard of this disease before Sergeant Fred brought your information to our office.

You have truly touched my and my husband Manuel's hearts and we think of you all the time. In fact, I have your thank you letter hanging in our office so I see you every day; right next to the pictures of our daughter Olivia, who is 5, and our son Manuel who is 2.

I hope that you are feeling better and want to wish you the Happiest Birthday ever in case I don’t get a chance to touch base again before the big day. 5 is a great year!!

Have a fun safe trip to PA.

Sincerely,

Jessi

Hey everyone,
Thank you GPD for the blanket. It was a huge surprise. Linda showed up at the bowling party and gave it to Shane. He immediately put it around himself and loved it. What a thoughtful thing for you to do. We will be posting pictures of the bowling party within the next couple of days.
We had a great time at the bowling party. I beat everyone with a 168. The kids bowled for about 40 minutes and then were done with it. We had pizza, soda,, cake, ice cream, and presents. Shane got new golf clubs, batman laptop computer, batman figures, Cd, movie, putting machine, kite, new bike, WII games, vtech games, Ben 10 watch, spiderman helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads. He didn't get a chance to ride the bike yet and he probably won't for awhile because we are getting snow again!!! It is snowing outside and we got a couple of inched last night. We will take some pictures of him on his new bike when he can get out and ride it. It is a 3 wheel bike that sits close to the ground. So he should be pretty safe with it.
He is so excited about going golfing!!We will start practicing putting so he will be ready to golf in the tournament on July 25.
The 5 of is girls went to PA and had a great time. They raised $53,000.00 and were still counting!!! So, I am going to plan a Bingo for a Cure next March here in Watertown to help raise money for FOP.Maybe just do that and the golf tournament each year. I sat beside Dr. Kaplan and had to teach him how to play bingo. If you are not aware of who he is, he is the head doctor for FOP. We had a good conversation and it was a lot of fun.
I wanted to welcome Jessi P. to the blog and thank her for supporting Shane. I also wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes.
Shane enjoys listening to your words. He is with his dad this weekend. He and I have 4 days of school and then we have 11 days off to hang out and do whatever. WE should have planned on going somewhere warm since we are getting SNOW!!! But maybe it will warm up for our vacation and we can get outdoors to golf and ride our bikes.
Have a great weekend!!

Also, maybe there will be more flowers in bloom. Would you pick me a flower? If you do, I will put it in a very pretty vase.

Maybe too, we can color , play in your toy room and read a book. Love, Sue and Wayne

Hey there Shane and the rest of the crew! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. I've took some days off to do family things, then it has been busy here at work.

We can definiately tell it is Spring time around here. For the last 3 days we have had 90-100 degree weather. All I do is toss and turn in the afternoons when I'm trying to sleep...ugg. But at least my Costco portable air conditioner cools my bedroom down to the low 70's...which is still a bit warm for me.

You all have fun this week and stay out of trouble...especially you Shane...LOL!

Mucho bad folks that needed to be arrested. In the past months Sgt Austen, Officers Sibayan, Malibu, Solis, Sergeant Fred and I have arrested a handful of evil doers.

Well the weather here is warming up and almost it's time for shorts, flip flops, and tank tops.. (Kool-aid to follow) Now the question is.. When are you going to come visit sunny California to hang out with your other family? Soon I hope. =)

Well it approximately 5:40 am here and Officer's Sibayan and Solis and myself are waiting for 7:00 am to roll around so that we could start our weekend.

I hope that you are keeping law and order in Watertown.. Just make sure that you keep KiKi in line.. =P (Good Morning Keredith lol) gotta go buddy. I'm sure we'll chat soon!

Hey there Shane! Tell mom to take you to go see Star Trek. It was an excellent movie. (Mom, you don't need to be a Trekkie fan to love the movie. My wife and her sister were both crying within the first 20 minutes of the movie).

Mom, Happy Belated Mother's Day and Happy Birthday!

Aunt Jenn, looks like it's going to be another hot weekend. They are projecting 90's on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

You guys be safe and I'll chat with you later.

Hey there Shane,

How is everything in the BIG WT. We're very busy here and its only busier because Mollie blew out her knee and has been off work for a while, we need her back!!!!! So hows the weather, we're stuck with lots of sunshine, high temps and long days. Are you out of school yet? Hope you had a great school year this year, as you move up a grade. Hows the family, all well I hope. Right now I am extra busy because Brittni is in softball season and that is an everyday activtiy with practices and games, but she is a great player and loves the game so I can't complain. As for Erick, he's just hanging out watching chicks and looking cool. Well I hope your evening is going well and I'll talk to you later.

Hello Mr. Terry,

So how is the summer starting off in Watertown for our east coast officer? I hope you are spending a whole lot of time playing outside and just hanging out with friends and family. We're super busy her lately, the bad guys are really acting up all over this part of California, so we're really on our toes right now. Mollie finally got the ok from her doctor to come back to work, so now she can take the heavy load for a while. Well I hope you are doing well.

Hello everyone,
Yes, we have been extremely busy as I'm sure everyone else has also. We have been getting Shane's pool up and running, riding his bike, soing our spring cleaning and just everyday stuff. Shane has 9 days left of school with is pre-k graduation on June 23. He will be going to my school next year so that I can keep a close eye on him.I'm not sure how I feel about him being in the same school. His behavior has not been the best this year in pre-k. I'm hoping that he matures some over the summer!!! He and I are going to hang out at the beach and enjoy ourselves. I am not working and this is only the second summer in 11 years of teaching that I have not worked. No plans, just hanging out with Shane.
Shane has had 2 flare-ups for 3 weeks on the top of his back by his shoulders. His arms have been more restricted that usual. We will have to see what this brings when the flare-ups go down. He has not been in any pain. Still his usual happy go lucky self!!!
We are getting ready for the golf tournament. I have sent $1450.00 so far in hole sponsorships to the IFOPA. I have 2 teams registered. I know that there are more that plan on playing just a little slow in registering. Shane is looking forward to it.Him and I are going to ride in the cart for the day and visit with people and maybe Shane hit some golf balls with different teams.
Shane loves his blankie from the GPD that he received for his birthday. He cuddles in it often.
We raised $94.50 from the Applebees Dining to Donate. Not real good but anything helps.
Sorry that we havn't been on in awhile. I do read the blogs to Shane we just do not have time to respond all the time.
You GPD guys stay busy. IT sounds like you are staying really busy these days!! Keep up the good work. Shane had is hand cuffs out the other day cuffing me and telling me I was going to jail.
Have a great weekend!!

Sergeant Pete said...

Mom,

Thanks for the update. Too bad donations are on the low end right now. I wish there was more we can do to help.

Things have been busy here at work. Just when you think things were calming down, they bump back up. I have one more day at work before my days off, but then I have to come back to work in the middle of my days off....uggg!!!! But I guess I shouldn't complain. Overtime is pretty much non-existant, so I'll take what I can get. :)

I'm so happy to hear that Shane likes our blanket. You two take care, and even though I don't reply back often, I do drop by to read the responses at least 1-2 times a week.

Peter

Sergeant Fred said...

Hi All,

Well as Peter said we're busy here and short on people, which unfortunatly not allow us any trip back this summer as we wanted. We went backwards in staffing and will now have to make it up in covering shifts, so Peter there will be some overtime. Shane I hope you are doing well and I am sorry to hear you have had some flare up's, but I hope you are through them and enjoying your summer with your Mom, Pete, your Dad and the rest of the family and friends you are surrounded by back there. It may take some time, but GPD will eventually get there, we know the way..... I hope all my Watertown friends have a great FOURTH of JULY tomorrow.

We are enjoying our summer just hanging out. Haven't really done anything special because the weather has been so cold and rainy!! The golf tournament is coming along. We have 8 teams signed up and I know there are many teams that are going to play but are not signed. Well off we go!!Talk to you soon.

Hey Shane,

I am sorry it is taking us forever to get on here, we are having one of those years that we want to be over as soon as possible. I saw the pictures of your golf tournemant and it looked like you were having a great time golfing and the weather looked great too! How was summer, did you do a lot of different things with your family? HAve you started school yet? I hope everyone in Watertown is doing well and staying out of trouble (kinda staying out of trouble). Do you get to see your Mom at school during the day? Well I hope you have a great Sunday and I'll talk to you later.

Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to say Hi and let everyone know that Shane started school yesterday. He has had two great days so far. I will knock on wood for saying that. He has an individual aide that follows him around wherever he goes to help keep him safe. I told her that she should think about wearing sneakers to be able to keep up with him. He passed me twice in the hall today and gave me a hug each time. That made my day!! He was pretty stiff today because of the bone growth that he has had in his back lately but he keeps on going despite the aches that he is experiencing. We are trying to make everything very comfortable for him during the day so that he does not experience aches an pains that go along with FOP. I guess he had trouble getting out of his beanbag seat today because he was so stiff. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day. he is able to go on the playground which is the highlight of his day. The entire school has rearranged their schedules so that Shane's class and one other class are the only ones out there to make it safier for him. My main goal is to let him be a part of everything that most kids are part of and to keep him safe while doing it. I have to let him do things now because there may come a time when he is not capable of doing things.
We have given Shane a new room with new paint, carpeting, and a new door. Pete and I were very busy the week before school started getting this done for him. His new theme is the GPD and family. We have the shadow box and the frames letter in there along with his uniforms and everything else that you guys sent us. He was away at his dads when we did the room and came home and just laughed with excitement because he loved it. GPD, thank you for all the wonderful items to help make his room a cool one.
I'm not sure if I posted how much money we raised from the golf tournament but it was $5300.00 and I am waiting for one more check that will put us a little over $5500.00 that we raised for FOP. We had 25 teams. Everyone is still talking about how much fun they had and are looking forward to it next year.I had family come home from Florida, Albany, and California to golf in the tournament. What a great support unit that was. It is going to be the last Saturday in July every year. So it is scheduled for July 24, 2010. Mark the date on your calendars. We are going to have 2 events every year and they are the Arctic Blast (as long as our local lounge, Kickers, wants to sponsor it) and the golf tournament.
I hope everyone in GPD is doing well!!! We miss you guys!!
I have been asked to do a speech this weekend for out local EAGLES club in hopes that they will sponsor FOP and help raise money for it. There are going to be 100-150 people there along with the president of all the Eagles clubs!!What an honor to be asked and what a nerve racking experience for me. I am suppose to be working on my presentation right now since I have not started it yet. I will get it done sometime before Saturday.
Tell everyone we said hi and we miss you. Shane says hi and wants everyone to know that he loves school.
Have a good rest of the week.

Shane's mom said...

Malibu,
I am also on Facebook and would love to be your friend. Look me up Kimberly Weston Hayes. I would love to see how you linked FOP to it. I just started a page a couple of months ago and have not had any real time to sit and see how things work. There are some pictures of Shane downloaded from this summer.

GPD thanks for the Christmas gift for Shane. He purchased a couple of games for his DSi and he also purchased 4 new books for his TAG reader. If your not familiar with the TAG reader it is a pen that you download audio books on and scroll the pen across the words on the book and it reads the book for you. He loves it.
Shane is doing well. He is enjoying riding his new snowmobile. He as a girlfriend named Jillian at school. He made her a necklace and bracelet for Christmas and was so excited to give them to her!! She is all he talks about. He wanted to buy her a ring and ask her to marry him on Christmas and I told him he would have to wait for that one. Maybe Valentines Day LOL!! He is such a romantic at age 5. She is how I get him up and to school everyday.
Hope everyone had a good New Years and is looking forward to 2010.

Hows the weather back there, beleive it or not we had snow in the foothills the other day out here in sunny California. Right now its cold, windy and rainy, but we'll get through it. You and your family are always on my mind, I just need to slow down and act on those thoughts and send a "Shout out" more often. Hope all is well with our W-Town family.

Lotsa a Love from Cali,

Hey Shane and all of Watertown Familia hope all is going well and that spring has come in with warm weather. We are still having little bouts of cold, wind a rain, but nice this week. We are busy at work especially since our neighboring State of Arizona decided to pass an immigration law that will adversely affect the surrounding states.

It's also little league and softball season in Gonzales and the kids are in full swing, we also have the fair coming in two weeks so all the 4-H and FFA kids are getting ready for that week of fun.

Other than that it business as usual and hopefully it stays quiet for us. Hope you and all the family are doing well.
